Bob Willis

Organ Curator

Bob Willis, a life long Mendham Resident received a Degree in Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from NYU.  He worked for Bell Labs for 40 years and his most interesting project was developing the cell phone system from the initial design to customer support for the cell phone companies using the AT&T base station towers.  After retiring he volunteered to support the organ renovation and expansion project when the group needed someone with a soldering iron to build new electronics for the organ.  A four year project that did not end as he became the Organ Curator to maintain the organ and make improvements as new technology became available.  He is an ordained Elder and Deacon and assists the Sunday services with audio and video and lately stream casting the live Sunday services to members where ever they are.

Bob is married to Ruth and celebrating their 60th  anniversary in 2022.  They have four children, Catherine, Daniel, Susan, and Amy, four grandchildren Dana, Margret, Mikayla, and Sarah, and one great grand son Enzo.  The daughters live nearby in New Jersey and son and grandson live in North Carolina. Two Granddaughters live in Mendham, of all places, the other granddaughters live in Far Hills, again close by.  The family joined Hilltop when the children were old enough for Sunday School.
