Text: "...the desert shall rejoice and blossom..." Isaiah  35:1

Annual  Christmas Concert

Annual Christmas Concert will be held this Sunday, December 15, 2019, beginning at 4:00 pm in the sanctuary.

The concert will feature an assortment of choral pieces and carols for the Christmas Season.  The music will be accompanied by full orchestra – plus the handbell choir, along with the sanctuary organ.

This year’s concert is titled, “The Songs of Christmas, and will feature some of the great carols and compositions associated with the birth of Christ.  Also included in this program is a new work by composer Michael John Trotta, commissioned by the church to honor 50 years of church music by conductor and music director, James Wynne.  This work, a multi-movement work for choir and orchestra, is a setting of the Magnificat – the song Mary sang when she learned that she would be the one to bring the Son of God into the world.

In addition to the prepared works, the concert will also include some favorite Christmas Carols for the audience to enjoy and sing.

Tickets will be on sale soon for this event.  Adult tickets cost $15, and student ticket are $10.   Patrons are also welcome.  As in the past, a $75 Patronage will also earn you two tickets to the concert.  Tickets and Patrons will be available after the Church Service each Sunday leading up to the concert.  This promises to be a sold-out event, so get your tickets early!

Dear Father, You loved us so much that you sent your Son into this world as a baby to then die that we might be saved. The enormity of that sacrifice is beyond us. May our lives be a continual thank offering to You for what You have done for us. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen
